Adaptation of the number of treatments

  • Procedure  : Decision criteria for adjusting the date of the 1st and last treatments and the renewal rate
  • Phytosanitary interests :
    • Knowledge of the plots (potential risk of attack) remains the first lever of product savings: observations on the plot make it possible to decide whether or not to intervene and to verify the effectiveness of the intervention.

Dose splitting
A shorter rate makes it possible to better position the treatments in relation to the rains and the growth of the vines.
Beware of the risk of resistance appearing

Pay attention to the deadlines before harvest!

Mildew

  • Beginning of protection : 1st treatment not linked to the phenology of the vine but to the detection of primary outbreaks and the risk given by the models at the end of winter
  • Management of renewals : to be adjusted according to: detection of the first outbreaks, sanitary condition of the plot and its surroundings, stage of the vine (maximum sensitivity in flowering), growth of shoots, rainfall = changes in risks on a regional scale
  • End of protection : Depending on sensitivity and climate: end of treatment date to be contextualized

Where to look for a primary focus of mildew? Usually on low vegetation near the ground or on seedlings from grape seed sowing, on plots known to be the most sensitive on the farm.
