  • Procedure  : Removing leaves from the fruiting zone

 

  • Phytosanitary interests :
    • Ventilate the bunches to limit the development of diseases (botrytis, powdery mildew, mildew) and ensure better penetration of the products into the area to be protected
  • Interests of the technique :
    • Promote the ripening of bunches more exposed to the sun 
  • Induced effects :
    • Improve the exposure of grapes
    • Promote maturity (better sunshine)
    • Promote the synthesis of polyphenols when leaf stripping is early
    • Facilitate grapes targeting for protection products: less risk of losses
