The affection of the white internal fibrous webs , of non-parasitic origin, is characterized by the presence of white fibrous structures, grouped more or less in mass, inside the fruits of the tomato, in the pericarp, but more particularly in the outer wall and sometimes in the placental area (Figure 1).
This condition would be linked to too low potassium fertilization and high temperatures. Other factors would be involved, some linked to various stresses, to the presence of the sweet potato white fly, others rather genetic, some varieties would more readily express the phenomenon.
