Printed practical guide to

diseases, pests and disorders of the potato

The aim of this guide, developped by a panel of potato experts, is to offer to a wide audience – producers, technicians, advisors, researchers, students and individuals – practical and accurate information on the main diseases, pests and disorders of the potato (photo 1). This guide offers a practical key (photo 2) to the easy identification of the major symptoms observed on potato crops and at harvest and then data sheets (photo 3) of potato diseases, pests and disorders.

This reference book, which served as a basis for the development of the DiagPOT application, is published by the FN3PT (French Federation of Seed Potato Growers), the GNIS (French Interprofessional Organisation for Seeds) and ARVALIS-Institut du Végétal, (French Arable crops Institute) with the assistance of numerous experts, from field to research area, in order to present extended knowledge on the potato.
