Main responsible fungi
fruit lesions and rots

The list of fungi likely to attack melon fruits allows you to access the files available on the subject.

Many of them mainly affect the fruits of Cucurbitaceae cultivated in the open field. Their frequency varies from one plot and from one country to another. Some are mainly subservient to warm tropical regions, others to more temperate zones.
It should be noted that in many cases they occur alone or in association with other fungi or bacteria ( pectobacterium spp., Bacillus sp., Pseudomonas sp.).

Other fungi are occasionally reported on melons in particular stored, for example Alternaria alternata in Israel and China, Mucor mucedo in the latter country.
