Folletage
- Symptoms
This physiological disease manifests itself in spring, generally in Mediterranean regions and on growing vegetation. When the drying wind succeeds a rain, this causes a more or less important drying out of the foliage of the vine.
- Explanatory factors
- A tall vine, young and vigorous, with a superficial root system;
- A rootstock promoting the expression of this disease (161-49C, SO4).
- Preventive measures
- Pinch the end of the twigs to limit evapotranspiration when conditions favorable to folletage appear.
