- Colonization of senescent petals and destruction of whole flowers which rot, brown or even blacken.
- Abortion of young fruits; moist lesions on fruits (initiating from senescent sepals or remnants of floral parts, wounds) rapidly evolving into moist and soft rot (figures 1 to 3).

- Signs : a blackish and airy mold more or less covers the rotten fabrics. Fruiting bodies in the shape of small pinheads are visible.
