"telluric" symptoms
In temperate zones, Rhizoctonia solani classically causes various symptoms, in the nursery as well as in the open field, which we have exemplified in this section: failure to emerge, damping off, root lesions, at the collar, on the stem as well as on fruits in contact with the ground. .
Be aware that in humid tropical zones, Rhizoctonia solani does not have the telluric behavior that we know of in mainland France on vegetables (replace by Sclerotium rolfsii ); its parasitism is more aerial, attacking more willingly the leaflets and the leaves of certain vegetables, we speak of " leaf Rhizoctonia ".
