Damage and nuisance

Leaves
Currently, the damage caused by Sparganothis pilleriana is relatively well controlled. The caterpillar usually attacks only the leaves, which it consumes almost entirely.
It can cause great damage to vines when poorly controlled. Its development in the vineyard in outbreaks can lead to the weakening of the affected vines and cause bad hardening of the woods. Repeated attacks on the same vines can lead to their death.
