Lettuce necrotic spot virus (LNSV)
The Lettuce necrotic spot virus (LNSV) belongs to the family of Comoviridae and gender Nepovirus (Figure 1). Its vector is not identified. The disease appears to be associated with the presence of nematodes belonging to the genus Xiphinema . Seed transmission not studied.
- Symptoms
A mosaic or marbling, concentric rings, arabesques, necrotic spots, are visible on the leaves.

This virus was identified in salad crops under shelter in Portugal, in 1998.
