Pseudocercospora fuligena (Roldan) Deighton (1976)
Cercosporiose
(Mycosphaerella, Mycosphaerellaceae, Capnodiales, Dothideomycetidae, Dothideomycetes, Ascomycota, Fungi)
This fungus is found in several tropical production areas around the world, in very humid and poorly ventilated plots. It is reported from Asia (especially Japan and China), India, Africa and Central America. It is responsible for symptoms that could be qualified as “black leaf spot” (cercospora leaf spot, black leaf mold), if we refer to the damage associated with Passalora fulva . P. fuligena occur does not in Europe and therefore in France.
Note that a Cercospora diffusa was isolated from tomato in Cuba.
