Chemical injuries
 

Some pesticides used in poor conditions or accidentally applied on tobacco may cause symptoms similar to wilting and / or drought. One may note:

- browning and quick drying of lamina (diquat, paraquat, oxadiazon, atrazine ...);
- necrosis and drying of lamina margins of young and mature leaves;
- small, white to brown interveinal necrosis (carbofuran. ..);
- wilting and drying of apex leaves;
- interveinal drying of mature leaves ...
