Pedaliaceae
The Pedaliaceae family includes dicotyledonous plants, the best-known species of which is Sesame (Sesamum indicum). this plant is cultivated for its seeds which are used in cooking for their sweet flavor close to hazelnuts once roasted. Sesame seeds allow the production of sesame oil which is mainly used in salads or cold dishes, but also in soups, fondues or certain hot dishes. They are also used in pastries.
