- classification : Nectriaceae, Hypocreales, Hypocreomycetidae, Sordariomycetes, Pezizomycotina, Ascomycota, Fungi
- téléomorphe : Nectria spp.
- English names: Fusarium fruit rot

Several species of Fusarium are reported as responsible for rot on the fruits of Cucurbitaceae belonging in particular to the genus Cucurbita , including Fusarium acuminatum Ellis & Everh., F. avenaceum (Fr.) Sacc. 1886, F. equiseti (Corda) Sacc., F. graminearum Schwabe 1839 ( Cucurbiita pepo ), F. sambucinum Fuckel 1870 ( Cucurbita maxima ), and F. solani f. sp.  cucurbitae (many Cucurbitaceae) ... These fungi are widely distributed in the world, and their damage seems very common on Cucurbitaceae, and especially on Squashes.

It is not uncommon to observe them on zucchini and squash in France , associated with various species of Fusarium which have not all been characterized, both in the field and after harvest, during storage and conservation.
